PAPER COLLAGE N°21

Mixed media on paper - 23 x 30 cm

Finding ways to visually represent mathematical concepts can be a great way to help people understand these concepts better. It can also give individuals who are not interested in numbers and equations a second chance to appreciate math, especially if their first approach at school was not interesting.

There is a lot of potential for creativity in making math more visual and interesting. It’s always good to have people appreciate math and understand how it can help those in daily life. It is important to understand that not all staff may be familiar with complex designs, but the fact that they are motivated by mathematical understanding is what makes them special.

Composing these pieces of collages teaches me how to think, giving color and only part of the picture to tell the whole story.
